Wuthering Waves Version 3.3 is officially set to launch on April 30, bringing one of the most important updates in the game’s current lifecycle. Titled Reverbs From the End of Galaxies, this update arrives alongside the second anniversary celebration of Wuthering Waves, making it more than a regular content patch. It introduces new main quests, two new 5-Star Resonators, anniversary rewards, a new area, gameplay optimizations, new weapons, collaboration content, and several system improvements designed to improve both exploration and combat.
For players who have followed the story closely, Wuthering Waves Version 3.3 marks a major narrative turning point. The main storyline moves toward a decisive conflict as Rover prepares to pilot the Exostrider through the Stridergate and enter high-concentration Voidspace in search of Aemeath. The update expands the mystery surrounding Rahai-Roi, the Fractsidus, Aleph-1, and the larger crisis unfolding across the galaxy. Instead of simply adding side content, Version 3.3 pushes the central plot closer to its climactic stage.
The first major story addition is Main Quest Chapter III Segue: Wishes in the Bell, available from April 30. This quest focuses heavily on Hiyuki and her conflict with the Fractsidus. Hiyuki’s role is not only mechanical as a playable character but also narrative, as her past, burden, and choices become central to the unfolding events. Her connection to the Suzu and her willingness to sacrifice her own future for power make her one of the most emotionally charged characters introduced in this update.
Alongside this, Main Quest Chapter III Act V: Starlights from Yesterdays will also become available on April 30. This quest sends Rover into Voidspace through the Stridergate, turning the Exostrider plan into a direct story mission. The journey to find Aemeath also reveals more about the conspiracy involving the Fractsidus and Aleph-1. This gives Wuthering Waves Version 3.3 a stronger sense of urgency compared to earlier updates, where exploration and worldbuilding often carried more weight than direct narrative escalation.
Another story chapter, Main Quest Chapter III Segue: Beneath a Melting Night Sky, will arrive on May 21. This later phase of Version 3.3 focuses more on Denia and the hidden motives surrounding her character. Denia is presented as someone with two sharply different sides: gentle and approachable in public, but unpredictable behind the scenes. This duality makes her more than a simple new unit. She is positioned as a story variable whose true purpose may influence the next stage of the conflict.
The first new 5-Star Resonator in Wuthering Waves Version 3.3 is Hiyuki, a Glacio Resonator who uses a Sword. Her combat identity is built around ice-based weapon creation, Glacio Chafe application, and multiple attack styles. She can command three distinct blades, shifting her combat rhythm by condensing ice into different weapons. This gives her a visually sharp and mechanically flexible role in battle.
Hiyuki’s most important combat mechanic is tied to her Resonance Liberation. When she channels the power of the Suzu, she enters Futures’ Tithe, a state that greatly enhances her combat performance. During this state, frost covers the battlefield while Hiyuki attacks with ice blades, builds her Forte Gauge, summons ice trees, and delivers powerful finishing slashes. She can also enter a special combat state through evasive maneuvers, allowing her to continue attacking amid snow and petals. Under the right conditions, she can unleash an Enhanced Resonance Liberation, turning the power of the Suzu into a decisive offensive tool.
The second new 5-Star Resonator is Denia, a Fusion Resonator who uses a Rectifier. Her combat system is based on switching between Fusion Burst and Tune Strain modes. She uses staff-based attacks, starry bubble explosions, and clawed manifestations generated through her Forte. Her playstyle becomes more aggressive when specific conditions are met, especially after activating her Resonance Liberation.
Denia’s Breakdown Form increases her combat tempo and allows her to build Forte Gauge through enhanced attacks. Once fully charged, she can unleash an Enhanced Resonance Liberation that summons a massive sphere crashing down on enemies while creating a field that pulls nearby targets together. This makes her useful not only for damage output but also for crowd control and battlefield compression.
Wuthering Waves Version 3.3 also adds two new weapons: Frostburn and Forged Dwarf Star. Frostburn is linked to Hiyuki, while Forged Dwarf Star is connected to Denia. These weapons are expected to strengthen their intended playstyles and provide players with stronger build paths for the new Resonators.
Beyond characters and weapons, Version 3.3 introduces a new explorable area called Dimmr Plains. This underground section of Bjartr Woods is designed around vertical traversal, floating platforms, luminous forests, and layered exploration. The area gives players a new environment to explore while supporting the update’s broader emphasis on mobility and traversal.
The Expedition Motorbike also receives a major upgrade in this update. With the addition of Aerial Mode and a new aerial tactics module, players can navigate vertical terrain more effectively. This is especially relevant in Dimmr Plains, where exploration appears to depend heavily on height, movement, and spatial positioning. The motorbike is no longer just a travel tool; it becomes part of the exploration system.
Combat-focused players also receive a new challenge through Tactical Hologram: Sigillum. Tactical Holograms have always served as high-pressure tests of mechanical skill, character builds, and combat understanding. The addition of Sigillum gives advanced players another benchmark to test their teams after building Hiyuki, Denia, or other upgraded Resonators.
The second anniversary celebration is one of the strongest parts of Wuthering Waves Version 3.3. Players can receive up to 40 free pulls through anniversary events and rewards. After the April 30 update, players can log in to claim 20 Radiant Tides, 10 Crystal Solvents, and a Second Anniversary Avatar. Additional login rewards will become available on May 23, giving players more reasons to return throughout the update cycle.
The anniversary event Star Bouncing adds a lighter, more playful activity where Rovers transform into Pinball figures and battle alongside Resonators in Persona forms. Rewards include Astrites, an exclusive title, an Echo, and other anniversary items. This event helps balance the serious tone of the main story with a more festive and experimental gameplay format.
Another important event is The Second Coming of Solaris Collab Season, which offers rewards such as 10 Forging Tides, 10 Lustrous Tides, a Second Anniversary Sigil, a motorbike livery, and an outfit accessory. Version 3.3 also introduces crossover collaboration content linked to Expedition Motorbike liveries, including collaborations with major titles and franchises such as Resident Evil, Angry Birds, Pragmata, Haikyuu, Kaiju No. 8, and Riders Republic.
Customization also expands through the new outfit accessory system. Players can equip and change compatible accessories for selected Resonators, adding more personalization options beyond standard outfits. Morney also receives a new outfit called Plush Dream, giving cosmetic-focused players another reason to engage with the anniversary content.
System optimization is another major focus of Wuthering Waves Version 3.3. The update improves several UI areas, including Resonators, Team, Data Bank, Guidebook, and Backpack pages. It also adds new ways to view and switch Resonance Mode within selected interfaces. These improvements matter because Wuthering Waves has become increasingly complex over time, and clearer menus reduce friction for both new and returning players.
Performance improvements are also included for mobile and PC. On mobile, proprietary frame generation is designed to improve frame stability on mid-range devices while reducing power consumption. On PC, new graphics options such as Anisotropic Filtering and DLSS Super Resolution with DLAA support improve visual clarity and image quality. Mobile players also benefit from better resource management, including Resource Cleanup and reduced minimum download requirements.
Overall, Wuthering Waves Version 3.3 is a large-scale anniversary update that combines story escalation, new characters, exploration systems, technical improvements, free rewards, and global celebration content. With Hiyuki and Denia joining the roster, Dimmr Plains expanding the world, and the second anniversary delivering 40 free pulls, Reverbs From the End of Galaxies gives both active and returning players strong reasons to log in on April 30.
