The ultimate guide to the VALORANT Night Market (Sept 25–Oct 9, 2025)

The final VALORANT Night Market of 2025 is live from September 25 through October 9. For two weeks only, every account gets a personal pop-up shop with six discounted weapon skins, hand-picked from a rotating pool. No two players see the same offers, and yes—this is often the cheapest, legit way to grab that skin you’ve been eyeing.
If you’re new to Night Market, or just want to squeeze maximum value out of the last run of the year, this guide covers how it works, eligible collections, how discounts are calculated, timing and access, plus smart buying tips.
What exactly is the Night Market?
Think of it as a seasonal outlet store that appears inside the client. When Night Market opens, you’ll see six “tarot” cards in a special tab:
Click each card to reveal a single skin offer with a built-in discount (roughly 10%–49%).
Discounts and items are account-specific—they’re randomly assigned per player.
You have until Oct 9 to buy from your set. Once it closes, your offers disappear.
A few guardrails keep the system fair:
At least two of your six offers are guaranteed to be either a Premium-tier gun or a melee (knife).
The system avoids duplicates for the same weapon within one Night Market.
Skins you already own won’t appear.
There’s no reroll button and no official way to change your six cards after they’re revealed.
TL;DR: it’s RNG with rules—enough randomness to get excited about, enough guardrails to avoid six Frenzies in a row.
Dates, duration, and region timing
Opens: Thursday, Sept 25 (rolling afternoon/evening by region)
Closes: Thursday, Oct 9 (two weeks total)
Riot staggers content deployment by shard. As a rule of thumb, Night Market tends to appear in the evening for the Americas, after midnight for Europe, and morning for Asia/Oceania on the stated date. If you don’t see the tarot icon immediately, restart the client once or twice.
How to access your Night Market
Launch VALORANT; if it’s live, you’ll see a sparkling card prompt on the main menu.
Missed the pop-up? Click the small tarot card icon in the top-right corner near the Store.
Flip cards to reveal your six offers. You can come back any time while it’s active.
Pro tip: Flip all six before buying—sometimes the best discount or a favorite collection is hiding in the last card.
What can (and can’t) appear?
Included:
Select, Deluxe, and Premium Edition skins (guns and most melees) that are at least two Acts old.
Popular lines such as Prime/Prime 2.0, Reaver/Reaver 2.0, Sovereign, Oni (older waves), Recon, Singularity, RGX 11z Pro, many Episode 8–9 drops that are now past the two-Act window, and assorted mid-tier lines (e.g., Smite, Minima, Kohaku & Matsuba, etc.).
Excluded:
Ultra and Exclusive Editions (e.g., Elderflame, Protocol 781-A, Arcane Sheriff).
Very new skins—fresh bundles need to age two Acts before they’re eligible.
Battle Pass items (never sold individually).
Gear purchased with Kingdom Credits (sprays, titles) and most high-price melees above the Night Market limit.
Remember: availability can shift between Acts, so don’t assume every classic line is always eligible every cycle.
How discounts work (and how to read value)
Each offered skin has its full price (based on tier) and a randomized discount baked in. Typical tiers:
Select: ~875 VP per gun
Deluxe: ~1,275 VP per gun
Premium: ~1,775 VP per gun (knives vary widely)
Night Market discounts usually land in 10%–49% bands. Two tips to gauge real value:
% off vs. absolute VP saved
A 49% off Deluxe might save ~625 VP.
A 30% off Premium might save ~530 VP.
For melees, even a 20% discount can be hundreds of VP because knives are expensive.
Discounted bundle math (retroactive?)
Night Market only discounts single items, not whole bundles.
You can still complete a collection later by buying the remaining pieces at normal price.
If you’re budget-limited, prioritize Premium guns or knives with bigger raw VP savings rather than chasing the highest percentage.
Buyer’s checklist: make your VP go further
1) Audit priorities firstList the specific guns you use the most: Vandal/Phantom, Sheriff, Operator, Spectre, Classic, then knives. A 40% discount on a gun you rarely equip is worse value than 20% off a daily driver.
2) Factor Radianite costMany skins shine only after you unlock variants, animations, or finishers. If your discounted pick needs 10–15 Radianite to look how you want, include that in your mental price.
3) Don’t buy out of FOMOIf your roll is mid, skip it. There will be more Night Markets. Your core pool of playtime guns won’t change much between Acts.
4) Track your VPIf you’re close to a big discount on a main weapon, consider adding just enough VP to snag that one, then stop.
5) Watch the timerNight Market closes Oct 9—the Store rotates daily, but your six offers vanish at the deadline. Set a reminder so you can revisit on payday.
“Bad roll” survival guide
Can I reroll? No. There’s no reroll system for Night Market. (If you see claims to the contrary, it’s misinformation.)
Did I get scammed?Discounts show the original VP crossed out and the new price. If the number looks off, compare to the skin’s tier list. Nine times out of ten, it’s a normal discount band. Still unsure? Restart the client to refresh the UI.
Should I wait for the normal Store instead? If you only want one very specific skin and it’s not in your six offers, waiting is reasonable. The daily Store rotation can still bring it back—just not at a guaranteed discount.
Tips for collectors (and completionists)
Finish lines thoughtfully. Completing a set for the card art can feel great—but do you actually use the Bucky, Shorty, or Guardian in that line? If not, skip the filler.
Knife logic: Knives carry the biggest absolute VP savings when discounted, but they don’t change your gameplay. If you already own a knife you love, hold your VP for a Premium rifle with a finisher you’ll see every round.
Sound matters: Audio feedback changes how confident your aim feels. Lines like Reaver, Prime, RGX are popular partly because their shot sound is crisp. If you’re on the fence, watch a quick side-by-side video to confirm it suits you.
The Night Market’s place in the VALORANT economy
Cosmetics in VALORANT don’t change stats—no pay-to-win—but they do shape your experience. VALORANT Night Market is Riot’s way of:
Giving free-to-play or budget players a reliable discount window;
Keeping the community engaged between major patches (new Agents/Maps/Episodes);
Letting lapsed players hop in, flip cards, and maybe rediscover a reason to queue.
This is also why it’s so culturally sticky: timelines fill up with “rate my roll” screenshots, bargain bragging, and groans about six Stingers. It’s tradition.
FAQs
Does Night Market include my region’s newest bundle? No—bundles need to be two Acts old before they’re eligible.
Do Battle Pass skins ever appear? No. BP items are not sold separately.
Can I trade or sell skins? No. VALORANT doesn’t support trading or resale between players.
I bought a skin but hate the variant—refund?Riot offers very limited refunds under strict conditions (and not for content consumed/used). Double-check the variant you want before you buy, and remember the Radianite cost to unlock it.
Can I get two knives at once? It’s possible to see a melee and a Premium guaranteed, sometimes both melees appear—Night Market rules evolve, but you’ll always get at least two “headline” items among your six.
A quick look back: past Night Market rhythms
While exact calendars shift, Night Market shows up multiple times per year, often once per Act. In 2025, we’ve already seen runs in February, April, July, and now this final September 25–October 9 cycle. If you whiff this time, odds are good you’ll get a fresh roll next Act.
Bottom line: how to win the Night Market
Flip all six cards first, then compare.
Buy only what you’ll use every session (Vandal/Phantom/Sheriff/Op).
Weigh Radianite unlock costs. A cheap base skin that needs upgrades may not be cheaper in practice.
Skip weak rolls. The best purchase is often no purchase.
If you find “the one” at a chunky discount, grab it—the combination of the right skin + the right percent off won’t come around every month.
Good luck, and may your tarot flip a finisher you’ll never get tired of watching.
